Jewish Community Crisis Management (JCCM)
Jewish Community Crisis Management (JCCM) is a professional, community-wide initiative strengthening the Victorian Jewish community's preparedness, response, and recovery from crisis. JCCM empowers the community through crises through collaboration, and strategic coordination.
Guided under CSG Victoria and in partnership with JCCV, JCCM serves as a central hub, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach to crisis management.
The JCCM Alliance is a network of community organisations working together under a coordinated framework to strengthen preparedness, response, and recovery. It ensures clear roles across key service areas, strong collaboration and information sharing, and efficient, unified response when it matters most. The Alliance builds on existing expertise across the community, coordinating efforts without replacing individual organisations.
Preparation & Readiness
JCCM provides community-wide functional planning for crisis and disaster management, individualised organisation level capacity building, and practical, scenario-based training for operational and strategic crisis management
Connection & Coordination
JCCM facilitates connection and coordination between community organisations to build social capital that enhances crisis outcomes at both institutional and community-wide levels, and ensure efficient, inclusive, and sustainable provision of key services when the community needs it
Empowerment & Resilience
JCCM's ultimate goal is to nurture resilience through readiness, self-sufficiency and capability. When we have confidence in our preparedness, we can withstand, respond and recover from acute and chronic adversity better.
